New Exhibition 9th September 2016!

I've kindly been approached by The Baths Hall in Scunthorpe to stage a one night exhibition.
The theme of the show will be the scooter scene, the fashion and the music it attracts.
I will be displaying 12 original pieces alongside four mint condition Lambrettas, kindly donated for the evening by local scooter enthusiasts.
All works will be framed and mounted and available to purchase.
Music will be played throughout the evening by DJ Brad who will provide the sounds of Northern Soul classics through to the anthems of the 1990's Brit Pop Era.
Tickets are £3 per person and are available from The Baths Hall Box Office.

Paul Weller Portrait Unveiled.

The mighty Paul Weller will play his first ever gig in my home town on 17th March 2015.
The venue, The Baths Hall.
I'm extremely familiar with the venue having played there a few times, as a musician, but more recently displaying artwork and exhibiting.
The management team kindly invited me to display some of my artwork on the same evening as Weller's gig and to the make the evening more of a celebration.
I decided that a portrait would be ideal and would hang nicely next to the scooter artwork already chosen.
The portrait in question has been taken from an original unpublished image taken by the incredibly talented London based photographer Chris Floyd.
Chris very generously gave me his blessing and permission to use the original image and to crop, change and alter it to suit my style.
The portrait has been completed in pencil and is a one off.
No prints or copies will be made of this original.
I hope you like the piece and it will be proudly displayed, along with other works, in the first floor bar at The Baths Hall.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Chris Floyd for his generosity and trust.

Art Exhibition Meets Paul Weller!

I'm thrilled to announce that my local entertainment venue, The Baths Hall in Scunthorpe, are not only hosting a gig with the mighty Paul Weller in March 2015, but that the management team at the venue have invited me to display artwork on the same evening.
All the artwork on display will be scooter based and two actual Lambrettas will also be shown to complete the theme.
The evening will consist of great music, pretty good artwork (if I say so myself!), scooters and the odd pint. Guess it'll do!!!

Happy 50th Dave!!

Here is the brand new commission piece entitled "The Real Me".
I was approached a while ago by some dear friends who wanted a special piece producing for a surprise 50th birthday present.
Dave, the birthday boy, used to own a Lambretta as a younger man and enjoyed a pint or two of Strongbow. He still proudly wears his Fred Perry polo but does miss racing around the streets on his Lammy leaving the distinctive smell of 2-Stroke in the air.
Here's to you Dave, a very happy birthday, sink a pint and enjoy your new piece of artwork!! . . . . Lee
